There’s never a dull moment in praise!

My heart is filled with thanksgiving for the blessings I see around me. God is doing great things in the lives of those who are listening to His call. When we launch out by faith life is never dull. At every turn we meet with joys and sorrows, challenges and victories. Jesus does give life, and life more abundantly. There is always something for us to be thankful for. The Bible tells us to give thanks for everything.

I recently attended a ladies retreat and heard a qoute by Corrie Ten Boom expressing thanks to God for the flea infestation in the dormatory of the concentration camp she was held during the Holocaust.  She learned it kept the German gaurds out. Yes, thank God for everything!

I had the joy of praying with some pre-teen girls last week. They expressed that church was boring them. It’s true. Let’s face it. In this fast-paced, techno age church is boring at times. But God is not! These girls had me thinking, what can we do to show how exciting Jesus really is?

I want to challenge you to think of how God is working in your life. Has Jesus raised a signpost that you can’t ignore? Did you have a special time with Him in prayer?  What has He spoken to you through His word? Do you see His hand guiding you? Maybe you have some fleas you need to thank Him for. Then share it with us here.

Come on, Sisters!  Let’s give these young girls who are watching us something to desire in our Saviour. When we lift Jesus in praise and thanksgiving (giving thanks for everything) church isn’t so dull.

Let’s share and thank Him for His goodness to us!

  1. For more than a year, I’ve been pining and whining over the loss of two friendships that meant way more to me than they should. I was allowing the rejection of two fallible human beings eclipse the unfailing love of God. It got downright pathetic there for a while. After much prayer and the healing that comes with time, I am feeling sweetly content just being God’s girl. Friends come and go. Jesus will never leave me or forsake me. He’ll never get tired of me. He’ll always be there for me. I’ll stick with Him.

I appreciate your feedback!
