My husband loves to brag about his truck.

He tells everyone the headlights on his truck are absolutely amazing.? “They are so powerful,” he says, “they shine all the way from Virginia to Florida— just a little at a time.” That is how God lights our path, a little at a time. The Bible tells us God sees the end from the beginning. We don’t. So when we are faced with trusting our ability to control circumstances or God’s doesn’t it just make sense to trust the one who sees how things will work out in the end?

Session 4 Let.It.Go. Weekly Assignment part 2:

Write Proverbs 16:9 in your notebook.  Think of a time when you had very specific plans that did not turn out the way you expected. In the end did things turn out worse? Or better? Was it a situation that you relinquished to God? Or one where you tried to control to the bitter end? Looking back over that situation compare/contrast your actions with Queen Esther’s?

Queen Esther had great wisdom in seeking the face of God before she made a bold move to enter the King’s court on behalf of her people. In Chapter 9 of Let.It.Go, Karen lists seven helpful lessons we can learn for Esther’s life. In your own words create a bookmark based on Proverbs 3:5-6, listing seven ways you will relinquish control to God. Laminate it for durability and keep it for your personal quick reference.
